Introducing the pdrive system®
The ultimate video and data capturing solution
This innovative system from Test & Training International revolutionises road safety training, training for instructors, professional drivers, novice drivers and other road users both on the road and at the road safety training centre.
The pdrive system® is a compact system that records and analyses all relevant driver and vehicle data objectively. It is used to improve the individual´s driving ability for all kinds of target groups from learner drivers to professional and racing drivers.
The main unit is a small box which integrates, synchronizes and records video, audio and signal data.
Using a 20Hz GPS signal, up to 4 digital video cameras and 100Hz G-force sensors, all movements of drivers and vehicles are recorded accurately and objectively.
In addition to speed the pdrive system® also captures longitudinal (acceleration, deceleration) and lateral forces (steering maneuvers).

There are 2 analogue, 2 serial and 1 digital input on the right side.

On the left side are 4 camera inputs, video out, stereo audio in and out.

The driver display unit is intended to be mounted in front of the driver so it is clearly visible when driving, it includes a dot matrix display to show the driver any required information and a row of high brightness LEDs. The operation of the LCD and the LEDs depends on the mode that the pdrive system is in.
To the left of the LCD is a miniature camera that typically points towards the drivers face. This is used to capture the driver´s glancing behaviour while driving.
Driver display
It is possible to mark several situations with a small handheld control. The marked situations can be replayed and analyzed directly after the drive or at any later date. Thus, a trainer or coach has a perfect feedback tool.
The keyboard of the handheld control can be programmed individually to classify marked situations and categorize good as well as critical behavior of the driver.
By pressing a button on the handheld device, a customized picture (e.g. smiley, violation symbol, etc.) is displayed in the video:
It is also possible to automatically display pictures or fonts, e.g. when certain threshold of different parameters (speed, braking force, etc.) are exceeded.
The "pdrive system configuration tool" is used to design the graphics overlay that the pdrive system adds to its video recordings.
The video overlay can be almost any combination of bitmaps, dials, bargraphs, text and numerical values. It is also possible to only show particular graphics under particular conditions making it very flexible and powerful.
It is also possible to make a completely custom overlay, either by modifying one of ours or starting completely from scratch.
With the functionality of radio, it will be possible to upload the recorded data files automatically and wirelessly.
